"London’s Hot Looks, Key Trends And Best Shows
by Godfrey Deeny (Fashion Wire Daily)

London Fashion Week is normally associated with unearthing raw talent and highlighting British eccentricity. But the spring-summer 2007 season, easily the best organized in our memory, also highlighted significant trends, giving tell tale signs of what women will be shopping for in six months time.
Short is back – minis, seriously high cocktail dresses and coats that end nine inches above the knee.
Silhouette – figure hugging, body conscious looks are all the rage. The first stop before the boutique should be the gym. Yet, the bubble look has kept a spot on the runway, albeit narrowed down.
Fabrics – sleek and shiny cottons and satins, metallic leathers and lots of chiffon.
Colors – Black is back for summer, and the other hues are generally muddy – mat raspberry, coffee and dark putty.
Accessories – big pendants, wedges with details like pearls and diamante clutches featuring imagery.
Mixing materials – using widely dissimilar fabrics in one item of apparel, like chain mail with cotton, or nylon with chiffon.
Best collection – Hamish Morrow’s comeback show confirmed him as the freshest mind in UK fashion – sophisticated tailoring with utilitarian fabrics.
Best New Talent – Christopher Kane, his debut runway collection marks him out as a major new voice. His oeuvre – sexy romanticism and innocent bondage.
Best Model –Lithe and brainy Lily Cole – she just won a place in Cambridge – opened more shows than anyone despite being the principal runway target of the 0 model scare and threat to ban skinny models".

bem diferente de nova york, não?
